Some heron shots I took the other day. I worked really hard on the mosaic, so I thought I would share.

My daughter's awesome. Now she wants her own dSLR. Urgh.
Somebody sell us a used Rebel?? |

Those are really nice shots! I chased a heron around for 2 hours the other day and didn't get half that many decent shots. He'd land, I'd park, and he'd fly off. It was quite comical, I'm sure, from the outside looking in. ;o)

Very nice. I've never done a mosiac myself, or for that matter tried to take bird pictures. Must have taken some serious amount of time.
As a side note, you guys are just North-East of me. I'm in Platteville, WI. I'd say we could get together and take some pictures, but I'm moving this Saturday (even though we will be in Madison on Tuesday for a DR's appt for my wife). |

That's a beautiful mosaic. Nice shoot.
I chased a Great White Egret(in the Heron family???)around most of the morning with no luck at any really good shots but I did catch him/her with a Black Crowned Egret doing some fishing.

That works for awhile, but eventually, we both need cameras in our hands. So eventually, DPC will claim another "new camera" victim. ;-) |
