I'm a newbie (just put in my first photo in the 'Decisions' Challenge) and will become a paying member shortly due to what I've seen in this website.

What I've noticed in the past few days from watching the discussion boards is this DPC community is a very loving and friendly environment. Everyone here seems to be very supportive of each other and thier independant skill levels. Overall, it just seems to be a great community and one I'm looking forward to being a part of with my photography and education therin.

I will send your former family and friends my condolences...since you will be spending more time with us I'm certain! ;o) Welcome to the asylum. Have fun, and don't take things too seriously. Really. :o)

Luckily (and unluckily in other aspects not related to this post) I have different days off than my girlfriend so I'm not taking any 'together' time away from her while spending the hours shooting photos around the area. :)
