Is there any way to have a challenge photo renamed after the challenge has ended? I have an image that I would like to set up for printing at DPCPrints, but the name (due to some challenge suggestions) is horrific and I would love the opportunity to still have the print linked to the original image.

One way around this is to load another copy (1k in size) into a hidden folder and attach your print to that.

I know that doesn't answer your question but is a work around.

That wouldn't allow the challenge photo to have that cool looking PRINT AVAILABLE logo would it?

I've wanted this option available for a long time...

No, that's the downside. I'm not sure if the SC has the power or if you have to use the contact info for the site to request a title change of if they will even consider it.

mmmm.... perhaps this one should be moved to the Web Site Suggestions forum then. I would really like the ability after a challenge to rename an image at least once. In the humor, deja vu, and movie title challenges, there are often reasons to name an image other than what you would have preferred to name it.

In those cases we should be allowed to rename the photo once and have a field appended to the challenge results that indicates: Originally entered in the challenge as: 'Name Too Long to Use on DPCPrints'. ;-)

There have been a few isolated cases where titles of challenge entries have been changed after voting is finished. But as far as I know these have been limited to correcting obviously misspelled words. I doubt if allowing such changes on a regular basis would get any serious considration. The custom has always been to keep the record of the competition intact so that it can be understood in the future. The recent addition of the DQ'ed images into the record is a move consistent with past principle.

Perhaps instead they could leave the DPChallenge version of the image with the original title but give us the ability to change the title of the image that is posted to DPCPrints?
