My image is framed, not by nature but is naturally framed (oh and all 4 sides but I wouldn't downgrade an image that wasn't for that). Those pics are amazing and great examples.

Those pix are great examples. I'm looking forward to this Challenge especially if that's what's coming our way.

It's perfect. Saj, you just took away one of my ideas for the challenge. Darn! :)

Here is one of my old photos

would be perfect for the challenge, huh? I wish I was somewhere in Europe for this, so many beautiful "frames" there...

Just out of interest, do you think It should be framed on all 4 sides? I feel that would be better, but harder to acheive!

here is 2-sided frame example

Yup. It's in la Jolla, California and it's looking out through the opening into what's called "Sunny Jim's Cave" if memory serves me right. It's quite the famous, old-school tourist attraction. You used to be able to take tours down into the cave for 25 cents when I was a kid; the entrance was through a shell-and-curio shop. I assume it's still accessible, since here's a shot of it...

As an intersting side note, does this really fit the challenge, which asks that your "subject" be naturally framed? here the "frame" IS the subject.

Robt.

addendum; I just clicked on the image, and see by the title I have the name right. Memory's a strange thing; I haven't been there in what, 40 years? But my uncle used to take us there, we loved it when we were kids.

But of course! The subject is obviously the water and the frame just happens to be very unique. He-he. ;^)
