Is anyone here using Gmail with a POP3 client such as Outlook or Thunderbird? During the last week or so, I have been having problems connecting to send/receive mail. I haven't made any configuration changes on my side. I have also reconfigured my client and the results haven't gotten any better. I can't find any information about problems they may be having on their end. I'm just curious if anyone else is having similar issues. The web client works fine.

I'm using Outlook to get my mail from Gmail, sometimes I do get an error when sending mail, but aside that I don't have any other problems.

I also don't have any problem using ms outlook 2k.
I have 7 or 8 email accounts on that poor outlook, and occasionaly I get some error message about one of those randomly, but other then that - no problems.

Just an idea.... Gmail doesn't use the default ports for sending and receiving e-mail. Could be that your ISP or a Firewall software is blocking these ports.

| I had some problems for a day or so, but they have gone away. I was dealing with it saying it DLed messages, but didn't. I am using Outlook Express to check three different gmail accounts (mine, wife's, and daughters). |
