I would really love to see a high key challenge and a low key challenge.
The high key challenge would be a light subject against a light background. You'd try to keep every single thing in the picture a lighter tone

The low key challenge would be a darker subject against a darker background...

High/low key can work with still life as well as portraits. Seems lately people have been experimenting with high key (see candy challenge and where's waldo challenge for examples of high key)

The Where's Waldo picture by Jean? That's one of the reasons I stayed on this site...well, that and Leshii's reply to her "you painted your son white? Where do you people come from!?" HAHA

And the second place candy winner? Both are superb shots - I'd love to experiment with this myself.

this, I thought, was a fabulous high-key entry for egg - should have done so much better.
