I got this on this weeks entry:
comment removed by me!!..but someone asked me if I had used an editing tool to create a certain effect on my shot...and if that was legal on this site.
No, and no....there is a button underneath each picture to submit the photo for disqualification...USE IT...i dare you >:)

Posting your comments here before the challenge is over will help reveal your photo. It may be a good idea to hold back on those until the challenge is over... i was able to take that comment (even though it wasn't mine) and figure out which photo was yours...

That is true... I jumped the gun on that one because I had an offer to buy from a friend... I don't try to hide my photos, but i don't discuss them here...

How were you able to do that if it wasn't your comment? I can't see comments on any work but my own and comments that I have made. . |

John was saying he could identify the picture based solely on the comment quoted in this thread (which has now been deleted). Nothing else.

I really think we carry this anonymous thing too far. |

I do! I really don't think I would score differently if I knew who took the photo. For exsample if Jmseltzer (my favorite photographer) and Karen both enter a photo and I knew what they entered, I wouldn't pick Jmselzer's over hers because he is my favorite. That is just weird thinking. I would still vote on the photo its self. I see and read these post and it doesn't change my mind on the score I originally gave that person. I just know not to comment anymore, people get way to offended by the comments, plus I'm not good at exspressing myself on paper. I really suck. Can you tell by the comments I write in the forums? lol Sonja |

I don`t want to know. It adds a bit of mystery to the week...

The photo needs to be anonymous. Once you know .. you are influenced one way or another. If you know the photographer you might look at the picture more in if you do not get it for example. Or if it's a friend you will give him/her more the benefit of the doubt for 'meet the challenge'. You would think like 'I know they tried to do something'. I think anonymous is what it should be. I have 2 friends without camera voting here .. I do not tell which picture is mine and I do not want to. This anonymous thing is not too much, it 's the opposite which is too much .. trying to figure out who is behind a comment or something like that is too much.
Sorry to say that this way .. but I am more and more like 'upset' seeing guerillas in the forums. The world is too turnmoiled currently to fight here as well.
Maybe we should have a rule like 'commenting current week photo, or a current week comment is a forum will disqualify the owner photo for this week challenge'.
But ... then ... it's going to look like a friday dress code 100 page binder.
What about : Rule 1 : If you do not waant comments, do not submit Rule 2 : If you do not want to be scored, do not submit

Of Topic : forgive me I can't resist Lionel. But ... then ... it's going to look like a friday dress code 100 page binder.
My high school years were 63-65. There was only one dress code ammendment. Girls could wear pants only to after school activities. See? one stone becomes and avalance. :D lol |

I moved 6 months ago in US, and when I read the 'friday dress code' in my company .. oh my god. Every culture has its good points and bad points. :-) PS : fully forgiven ;-)
