I just got through shooting a plaque photo for a friend to use to sell it online. It was covered in glass and I got alot of glare and background (mainly my arm) in the photo. Good enough for his purposes, but was wondering if there was anything you can do to eliminate the glass reflections/glare? Help me for the future!

If you take the photo from a slight angle, from any side, you will avoid having yourself in the photo, and then you can position black card/cloth where the reflection would come from, which is the same angle as you are from the plaque, but on the opposite side.

The best way to reduce glare and reflections off a nonmetallic surface is to change your angle and use a polarizer.
