Food became a problem while living on the road. Alaska just didn't have as many apple trees to feed from.
looking for food became a creative venture into a new world of pleasures.

Ashley was glad she had taken on the body of a small girl. Man eating apples only eat men. She ate apple after apple after apple. However she forgot to pack a toothbrush. Her personal hygiene was at an all time low.  |

engaged them in a conversation about the various strengths and weaknesses of farm implements, particularly highlighting her objection to imports being subsidized by foreign governments while brands made locally were penalized in an unfair, overmanaged, market dominated by the machine of bankers and greedy middlemoguls who rape the land and ...the cult members began to go glassy eyed as she droned on.. and on. Soon she was alone, raving like a lunatic into the wind. Then all got eeri..eari..strangly quiet.

help but to stop and gaze at herself, in the poor evening lighting,

She found  but because she couldn't read
the instructions, ran off again, and was lucky to find another.

as she entered, and the darkness faded to light, she felt a certain familiarity. She felt she had seen a machine like this before, but just couldn't put her finger on it.
