I have seen a lot of controversy about awards and ribbons, How about we separate the calculation of your average votes recieved into open and members averages. That way the numbers are not scewed one way or the other by the enormimity of non-member voters.
This then would give people bragging rights over averages. I mean really what is a ribbon anyway, it is just bragging rights, recognition, and respect. All of which can be obtained from averages, however, splitting them up would make it more apparent and easier for people to compare. |

I really don't care about ribbons. I just want a good average. I strive to be in the top 20 when ever I enter... Been lucky most of the time. Ribbons really don't mean a lot if your not consistant.

Why not set your goal for a ribbon?

I'm not afraid to admit that I shoot for the ribbon. If you don't think it matters wait until your picture gets the attraction of a big number of voters and the comments start rolling in, then you will notice you are shooting for the ribbon also. By the way this is not directed to anyone just my opinion. Real comments are few and far between for me lately and I have been averaging average. When it quits being fun then you won't see me here anymore.
Back to having fun if the E-10 keeps working.
