OK, I've searched and can't find this anywhere but I have no doubt it's been mentioned before. I know that many sites offer their paying members email through that particular site, so what about DPCeMail? I know my spam filter sometimes catches DPC mail, and it would be convenient to be able to get to all the members at membername@dpchallenge.com or something like that. I don't know how all that is set up; I'm web-tech-challenged...so it might be a completely ridiculous idea, but it was just a thought. :o)

I think it's a great idea...
The PM function is useful but I find it a pain that I can't just hit return for my reply to be sent back (as an email or PM) but have to use the link at the bottom which brings me into DPC BUT tells me I'm not logged in even though I am (my cookie settings are fine) and is just such a pain in the ****!
I dont know the practical side of it though so would understand if D & L come back and say it's just not feasible!

That's an excellent suggestion. Other forums do have private message functions, so it's not beyond the realm of possibilty to add one here.

Most of those forums function as a completely separate site from the one they're discussing, and require separate registration/login -- they are not fully integrated into the site the way the DPC forums are. |
