I have just spent 3 hours on the phone with them only to have the last bitch hang up on me. I've sent six emails to the email addy I received in a letter from the CEO the other day and I am fuming!

Top it all off with now I have TWO defective cameras and NONE that work for a holiday weekend. I think I'm going to f-ing scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gateway sucks. I tried to get my camera from them and gave up.

My husband being a UPS driver picks up more Gateways then any other computer to be fixed.

I own five Gateway computers. [Including the two I bought and set up in my husbands office] Never had any trouble.
Never bought a camera from them..or a printer. Just PC's.

My bro had a Gateway computer when he was in highschool (about 8 years ago) and after the 90 day warranty or whatever like 2 days later something happened to it. Anyway... he made a Gateway Sucks website that was getting some MAJOR hits. My uncle (who's last name happens to be the same as my bro's, and it is an extremely UNCOMMON last name) was a corporate lawyer for Gateway... and the CEO called him up and goes who is this guy... and my bro's name... and he goes, oh that's my nephew, and the CEO goes, well make him shut down his website...

It's a small world isn't it!!

I tried to buy a computer from them once. They fraudulently charged my card for additional charges I did not authorize. When I called them, they said they quoted the wrong price when I made my purchase. They added $400 to my amount without notifying me or asking me. I told them to take the second charge of $400 and change off of my card and they refused to do it. I said to cancel my order then and they said OK (after bragging about all of their corporate and government accounts and the thousands of computers they buy---all leading up to how they could care less about my purchase of one system).
OK...order cancelled, no big deal.
Several days later, my condo office said I had a delivery to pick up. I went to the office and there sits several Gateway boxes. I said they weren't mine, they said they have my name on them and I need to take them. I explained my story, told them I would call Gateway andd tell them to have UPS come and get them.
Gateway said they accidentally built the system and shipped it to me, even though the order was cancelled. They asked me to just keep it and pay for it (the higher price, not the agreed upon price). I said no.
They then asked me to take the packages to UPS and they wanted me to pay for shipping back to them!!! I said no chance.
Two months later, I went to the condo office, and there they sat, in the corner gathering dust. i don't know if they ever got it back, but I didn't get charged for it!!
I've bought Dell ever since, and I steer as many people away form Gateway as possible. I don't mind if a company makes a mistake, but they were arrogant and rude...
I banned them forever!

Still No F*&(&$(#$(&#$^^@$ing camera. Now it is supposedly on backorder and won't ship until May 9th.

I finally found the Gateway corporate phone number and have a call in with them. One of the execs is now looking for an S602 for me somewhere in the company. I'm expecting them to call back in a few minutes.

And once AGAIN my camera is mysteriously on backorder and now no longer available on the website. I am going to raise bloody hell with the higher ups at Gateway first thing monday morning. By the time I'm done i expect my new camera will be far less expensive than I first thought.

Anyone else wanna help me beat a corporate exec to a bloody pulp verbally?

Just got great news, found the money for the camera else where and can now tell gateway to stick it up their asses sideways! Can't wait!
