Yeah, mine did that, too. It's because you either have one monitor positioned differently relative to the other in the OS's setup and/or it's a different resolution. Mine (a little farther up with the Kendo theme) has similar black spaces. |

ok I can't get mine posted up...nothing special anyway but I wanted to pass on a really fun practical joke to play on someone that leaves there computer unlocked for awhile.
-Do a printscreen of their desktop try to make sure the mouse pointer isn't in there (it ruins the effect)...preferrable with documents minimized but open could be funny too...
-open an editing program and either flip it to a mirror image or even rotate it so it is upside down
-save as jpg
-open display properties, select this image and make sure SHOW WEB CONTENT is on under the WEB tab (of course when you pick this photo it should ask you if you want to turn this on)
-hit ok to save and close it, you should see the image now...
-finally right click on the desktop and under ACTIVE DESKTOP turn off the SHOW DESKTOP ICONS option...this hides them so only your wallpaper shows.
DONE. I did this to my daughter's boyfriend's laptop and he was confused for quite a while, thought I flipped the monitor somehow. Enjoy and I'm not responsible for any pain incurred to the jokester.

In Windows, just hit the PrtScn key, then paste into the image editor of your choice! |

I think there is a service called grab that does the same thing. You should be able to access it from every application in the services submenu under the name of the application in the menu bar. |

I normally have my DPC entry on the desk top
but I put this one up yesterday... I took the shot for the late night challenge but I never entered the challenge in the end so it is ok to show it

why are all the dual monitor users, using a single shot for both monitors? Take a big shot and crop to fit both...
for example at work I have x2 monitors running at 1280x1024...Size the Pic to double (1280x2=2560) the width and keep the height the same (1024)...end up with a pic that is 2560x1024 set it as desktop and in properties > desktop select Tiled to fit perfectly across both monitors.

I used to change mine out quite regularly but have gotten lazy lately. Usually of my kids or family type moments. This one has been up for months now. Should really think about changing it. I could use a new view. :-)

this is mine from work, at a resolution of 1280 x 1024.
I'll post my desktop from home later, which is a resolution of 1440 x 900.

No icons or taskbar for me either. Under all the stuff I'm doing it's clean as a whistle. 2 monitors mean I can have a desktop that is twice as cluttered! |
