40+ years ago I spent many hours in the trees these blossoms grace. Until today, I never new they even blossomed. Walking through my yard I noticed some upon the ground and then found the tree they came from. See if you can name the tree.

It is indeed a tulip poplar, amazing the peripheral things I notice now. These hide very easily amidst the leaves.
