Well nothing that great from anyone, IMO.
Carrie is Pure Country, and sounded good.
Bo probably was the best again.. It wasnt a WOW, but damn solid.
Vonzell was okay, I think Simon nialed it when he said it will sound worse when you hear it again.
Anthony, hate to say it, was 2nd best I think 2nite, started out shaky, but ended great..
Constantine sucked, sorry, that was a pure bar band performance.
Scotty wasn't as bad as I thought the judges said he was, again okay..
Tuff to call who's gonna go..

| oh no my buzzy buddy i forgot to tune in...i need more info what was the theme.....what did bo sing he is my current front runner now that nadia sucked wind and died....got wrapped up in the yankee game... |

Carrie wasnt as good as she has been in the past.
Bo wasnt too bad, no wow, but a decent performance.
Vonzell was Vonzell. It was ok but the song didnt do much for me.
Anthony was pretty bad. I think it's partly his accent maybe. Plus I hate Celene!
Constantine wasnt great either. It's a modern song and so teens will know it but the original is much better.
Scott.... well he sucked as usual and MUST go!
Bottom three for me is Scott, Anthony and either Carrie or Constantine with Scott going. Although we all know they dont vote based on talent. |

Everyone was off. There are weeks every season when I wonder if the monitors are screwed up on stage or something - 'cause even the good singers (last night, Carrie, Bo, Vonzell) are flat or pitchy. The part in Simon's comment to Vonzell about "its hard to tell up here because it so loud" makes me believe even more that I'm right about this. I wonder if they do it on purpose - sort of as a trial-by-fire - to see how they handle a bad mix.
Song selection was weird last night too. I only really knew Constantines song, and sort of recognized parts of Vonzell's. So I didn't really "connect" with any of them.
But "Scotty the Body" (where did that come from?) was the worst of a bad night - pitchy vocally, and flat emotionally and dynamically - only sympathy can (and might) save him.

Really a lack luster show. :(
I just hope Scott finally goes bye-bye.
I think Paula stayed in her seat all night. |

Of all the songs that they could choose from within the past 5 years... those were the best that they could come up with? I thought that not one of them was on last night, maybe it was nerves with the wire getting so close.... but now is the time to shine.... *sigh*
I think Scott should have gone a long time ago... he is my pick to go this week.

Constantine sounded really bad last night. Really bad, compared to the original song. In my opinion he was the worst last night and I like him. I missed Carrie, Bo was good, Anthony and Scott were ok. I hate to say it but I think Constantine might go..... We'll see soon I guess.

One bad song I guess will kill ya, Sad to see him go though..
Kinda shocked, even though lastnite he did suck, I thought he'd have enough fans to get him through.. |

I can't fathom how Anthony keep making it through. But then, I like Scott and many people think he sucks. :)

| Scott didnt even make the bottom 3? I'm sorry but something is just not right. Either that or a bunch of anti-idol fans are voting for him as some kind of joke or something. That was just so wrong :( |

Constantine was the perfect person to go.

Oops, just got spoiled. The results show hasn't aired on the west coast yet. Oh well.
My opinions:
Carrie -- it was ok. I really dislike country music so it's hard to judge fairly. She seemed a lot more natural last night though -- obviously country is her favorite.
Bo -- he is just a level above the rest imo. He seems completely comfortable and natural on stage -- never nervous or out of place. Even his weaker performances are as solid as the other contestents very best nights. I think he should win.
Vonzell -- I don't know what the judges (besides Simon) heard but it seemed off-key to me though a lot of it.
Anthony -- He's cute and his parents worship of him is adorable, but man oh man does that kid have rotten taste in music. Every week I find him more boring than the last. But he sang his boring song well, so good for him.
Constantine -- That was a really, really unwise song choice. That was not a song to perform live, that was a song to sing along to in the car or the shower or somewhere else where nobody else can hear you. Too bad.
Scott -- I cannot understand who is voting for this guy. He was so bad last night I felt embarrassed for him. Yuck.
