I've been for a 1200km drive around Norway this weekend, and I captured some really beautiful shots I'd say. Of course, I managed to do some mount/unmount screwups, and, as fat doesn't support sync, one of the cards got corrupted. Just a handful of the images are still there, and amongst the gone ones are my take for "Minimalism" and possibly the finest landscape I've ever taken.

Now, could anyone assist me in trying to recover these files? I've grabbed an image of the card, and won't use it until I've managed to recover it. I'd like to try several methods so I know what works best for the future (it'll probably happen again), so bring them on :)

I'm running Ubuntu Linux 5.04, but any generic method would of course work. Might use Windows too if I have to, but that shouldn't be needed.

Thanks in advance

Chris

I have used a utility called PC Inspector Smart Recovery several times to restore deleted files from a CF card.
