I love this shot, took it today while out for a beautiful spring walk in Glasgow's Pollok Park.
In case you haven't seen one of these guys before, he's Highland Cattle and can be seen a bit better here.

OMG, that tongue just brought back a memory!!
No, not what you think!
Picture this:
As a 6 year old city girl , I was visiting a dairy farm.
I squeezed myself into a corner between the fence and the gate and watched as some cows were moved from a paddock to another location.
Suddenly one of the cows spotted me and came for a closer look.
She stuck her head through the gate (I was scared stiff), looked me right in the eyes (I wondered if she would now eat me), and gave me a GREAT BIG LICK right across my face (I was terrified and NOT ready for the sandpaper I felt).
I hadn't thought about that incident for a few years, but your pic just brought those memories flooding back.
Now I need to go wash my face :-)
