I don't know which version I like better. Any comments about colour or anything else? Thanks in advance!

I like the color one. IMHO, the b&w is flat, the color gives it depth

Strikeslip, which do you prefer yourself? You shot the photo. My own opinion, the color is the best one.

I like the color one better as it stands now. The black and white is very dramatic, but you are losing contrast when compared to the color version. If you did some additional post-processing on the black and white to bump up the contrast you might find it easier to choose.

I think I have to go with the black and white. It has a very nice tonal range.

My preference is the B&W as well. The lower right in the color picture is distracting to me.

4 to 1 for colour, hmm. I lean toward the B&W myself. I'm pretty low on the Photoshop/post-processing learning curve, but working on it. I'll practice on this & see if I can ad to the drama of the B&W. I know how to easily tone down the reds, which may be distracting in the colour version.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Cool sepia Mr. P. Did you do that in Photoshop? What method do you use to get sepia?

I really need to go through Photoshop & do some learning, yikes!

I did do it in PS, but not really a sepia, but rather a toning I prefer to sepia. Did some burning and selective sharpening, slective white, neutral & black level adjustments.

Don't feel bad - I need to learn it too. Half the time I have no clue what I'm doing, but just click enough to look like I do.
:)

Wow, I like your colour version a lot more than mine, nice job! I'm going to see if I can do that when I get a chance.
