Having been looking through the action gallery, I found a picture that I have tried in the past, that of the break beginning a game of pool. Here is my attempt, what do you think?

In the meantime, here are the two "break" shots I'm aware of, Wingy's brilliant original, and my pathetic re-do from the Deja Vu challenge.

Strangehost,
I noticed it took you over a hundred attempts to get yours. My son was about to give up when I finally decided I had enough. My objective was to stop the action early in the break and have the motion after the sound of the break, as it was for the Sound challenge.
I like both yours and Wingy's because they show more of the scene. Both very nice.

Hey guys, I'm sorry the link doesn't work. The photo is in a public album...
Strangehost, it was your picture that I saw, but thanks for posting Wingy's as I had not seen that one. Both very nice and bright. Mine has no post image processing as yet, so that may improve it somewhat.

If this doesn't work, I'll have to fork out for the full membership!
