I just got a comment on my F&V photo saying that my "mids are poor" and to adjust my camera accordingly. What the heck are "mids" and what can I do about them. I feel really stupid here. Is this a higher end camera thing, or am I really missing something?

Ok...why didn't this show up on the main page? I guess I'll try again.

I would normally think they were discussing "midtones," as in midtones, highlights and shadows. But then you say they mentioned adjusting your camera?

I have only used a few digicams, and maybe higher end cameras have such a feature, but not that I'm aware of. Adjustments of that type are typically made outside the camera in photo editors.

The exact comment was "mids are poor, adjust your camera so that the *** won't wash out the colors of your subject".
The only "adjustments" my camera has is Flash on/off. I'll probably have to wait to find out who left the comment and ask them what I should do about my "poor mids". LOL.
Man, I have a lot to learn. *sigh*
