I just got a comment on my F&V photo saying that my "mids are poor" and to adjust my camera accordingly. What the heck are "mids" and what can I do about them. I feel really stupid here. Is this a higher end camera thing, or am I really missing something? ~Heather~

Ok...why didn't this show up on the main page? I guess I'll try again. ~Heather~

I would normally think they were discussing "midtones," as in midtones, highlights and shadows. But then you say they mentioned adjusting your camera?
I have only used a few digicams, and maybe higher end cameras have such a feature, but not that I'm aware of. Adjustments of that type are typically made outside the camera in photo editors. |

The exact comment was "mids are poor, adjust your camera so that the *** won't wash out the colors of your subject". The only "adjustments" my camera has is Flash on/off. I'll probably have to wait to find out who left the comment and ask them what I should do about my "poor mids". LOL. Man, I have a lot to learn. *sigh* ~Heather~
