Whenever I get frustrated by the lack of comments, I figure the only thing to do is try to make more myself. Karma, so to speak. Have decided that I will always make sure that the number of comments given is equal to or greater than comments received. Certainly this isn't too hard as I am new and don't score high. But I hope to get better..am certainly more interested in learning than anything. That's why comments are so helpful when they pertain to the photo, and are detailed.
Consider Imagineer..look at his totals. Looks good to me.
And think how much a well thought out comment means...guess rex is set (Karma wise).

I know the feeling. I've made 205 and only gotten back 133. Better than half but I would love a lot more...

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank people who have given me comments, but ask everyone to please not only point out what is wrong, but to give quick suggestions for fixing the problem.
For instance, in my worst scored photo to date (a night shot) I got lots of comments saying that the idea was good, but there was too much noise. I could tell that noise was a problem, but I spent forever trying to fix it and couldn't without losing too much detail. Luckily the next week I stumbled across a post about Neat Image, but it would have been helpful if someone had mentioned Neat Image when they commented on the noise. |

Giving lots of comments will teach you more than you will learn from receiving comments on your own entries. |
