Ok. This has been brought up by my girlfriend.
"Are you on that photo site again?"
I used to be very active on some other websites, and a moderator for an automotive/performance/tuning forum (major one in Brasil).
Then DPC appeared in my life, something like a month and a half after I got my first digital camera (the one I currently own).
Is it just me, or whenever I'm online, I find myself looking for DPC on my favorites list? It still isn't my defaul webpage, but I've already thought of that.
It even changed my mind, concerning my area of study, Advertising. Always wanted to be an Art Director (that's what we call it here in Brasil), working for the Creative dept. of some big time agency. Now I find myself looking for some photo classes, or any other means to improve my photography. I'm even considering taking a bank loan to get a better camera (having the new Rebel in mind). I've changed my mind about the work I want to do for a living.
I can say that DPC has made me think differently about lots of things.
It made me look life in a different way.
I wish cigarettes could bring me that many benefits, LoL!
Did it happen to any of you, boys and girls?
It's one of the most, if not the most, interesting community I've already had the pleasure to be a part of. And I gotta thank it to yall.
I know I'm new to this and all, but I also know, that many good things will be drawn into my life, cz of the experience I'm having here!
Well, just wanted to share it with you all......

me who doesnt really like computers finds myself busting to get up in the morning and get on this machine. DPC is my default page. My name is Lisa and I am addicted to DPC. (sounds like a drug) LOL. I never ever thought in a million years that i would be upset when i need to stop looking here and go and cook or clean. Very addictive and i love it

uh yeh i'm on here all day cause i do nothing at work (but still get paid good money) hehe, and half the night...i was just complaining to my bf that he is on the playstation way too much but now that i have this..it doesnt even bother me!

Im on the playstation and on DPC all night...I never thought I would spend as much time on this site like Ive been doing lately. I guess Im addicted 2...DPC the anti-drug!! |

Drugs are good........ they just have BAD, really BAD side effects, LoL!
A note: I'm not addicted to anything but cigarettes! And, I don't take any drugs, besides a beer or two :-D

Wife and kid? What wife and kid? Where'd I get this stupid user name anyways? lol
I am such a putz. I stay on here until about 11pm knowing that I have to get up at 3am to go to work. Then I wake up early at like 2:30 so I can come on here some more. I'm getting the shakes because I don't have an update button this week! Arghh! Maybe they can put a dummy update button on here just to get our fix when we don't have anything submitted. |

| ohmygawd! I admit it. I too am a DPC addict. I'm constantly toggling between DPC and whatever I'm working on at my job. I'm trying to figure out the basis behind the addiction. I mean, it's not like there's even any $$ involved. Just today my boss caught me taking pictures at work - for the bored challenge LOL - of all things. She just did a doubletake and said, uh, it might be nice if I was going to shoot photographs that I take photos that might actually be work related!!! Obviously I can't tell you the nutso setup I had going on, but it was comical and I was caught in the act! |

Taking pictures of the guests at the hotel, waiting for their transfer, or while I'm having them wait for the checkout! HAHAHAHA
Seriously now, it's a good thing. At least I'm learning stuff everyday, stuff that can be very usefull in a day or two, or in an year! Or for a lifetime.........

um...I plead the 5th.
Honestly though, I'm on it all day long, first thing I do when I wake up is check my score...
I was pretty well immersed in Photography before DPC, but there's no turning back now. I have also gained so much from this site since August, that I can't really complain about my addiction.
My friend is not a paying member of this site, but she's on here often and she reccomended me to it because she saw me getting more and more interested in Photography. I bet she's regretting it now though, because every other sentance begins with "OMG, on DPC today...."
LOL.

It's OK to have started a new thread ... I just thought people might have enjoy reading how others have dealt with this issue in the past -- share the wealth (of humor) and all that. Sorry if it came across differently.
I'm sure there's a lot more threads on the subject too -- those are just ones I could find quickly. But there's no problem continuing the discussion here! |

| I usually check DPC everyday...and when I enter a challenge I check every 20 mins lol....I am also looking for careers with photography after only 1 year and 2 months of discovering it!....but there is so much competition out there that who knows what will happen...lol :) |

I don't have a default web page -- just about:blank. I'm just afriad that someone will pop up internet explorer right on a 'nude' challenge or something and see a thumbnail icon of me on the left side in the buff. haha no, that's not really why, but I just find it easier to load the blank page first...although dpc is usually the second page I click on (after my email of course).
