Toronto Zoo today and the lighting wasn't great...Tried my best with these images and the focus is a little soft for my liking.

Would like to get some comments and see even with the issues above, are they worthy of framing for my office. Any help is appreciated.

I think they are great. For some reason the 2nd picture seems a little blurry.

Anybody else?

nice photos! since you asked for a critique: in tiger photos the white fur seems to be a little bit blown, more detail there would be nice. And in the monkey picture, the rope/log arrangement in the foreground is in focus and therefore a bit distracting, a slightly different composition/crop/DOF could help there.

Did you adjust the brightness/contrast and saturation on the tiger shots? The white near the mouth seems blown and in general they have a very in your face heavy color saturation. If the blown area is due to contrast then try and tweak it without going to that extreme so there is still some details. If you shot RAW you may be able to adjust the EV as well. If that was just the harsh lighting then there isnt really anything you can do. I'd just at least trying to desaturate the color some to give it a little more subtle color, it may help with some of the harsh light.

The mandrills are cute but the image suffers with 1) being a little dark around their eyes, and 2) the background. You could try dodging around their eyes a little and maybe even trying a vignette around the background so the manmade structure (bolts) are hidden and it darkens the surroundings so as to put more focus back on the animals.

The face is a little dark but this is punctuated by the very bright rocks on the side. Eyes generally tend to go to the lightest part of an image first and so the rock tends to dominate the image. You cant really crop it out so you could try and conceal it using a mixture of curves and burning or else chalk it up to experience. Other than the light and the rock this is the better face of the three tiger shots.
