I currently have 2 open slots in my "favorite Photos" list and I see 3 from this challenge that I was considering for it... Anyone else maxing out? If so, how are you handling it? Anyone find an easy way to review all your favorites to find the "least favorite"?

You could start by deciding on your "favorite favorites", the ones you really don't want to remove. I'd guess you'd probably find 25 or so in this category. Then you've got a smaller sample to look at to decide which to remove, it makes the task easier.
Either that or be mercenary, remove them all and start again!

I had a big problem with the favourites section... about a week after I got back from my US trip (I was away when the feature was first introduced), I sat down to go through all the challenges I had actually voted on to select all my favourites. I was intending to go over the ones I missed out on and the ones before I joined later on to find more. However, I had no idea that you could only add 50... I ran out of slots even before I'd finished just the challenges I was familiar with!
A few days ago I sadly removed a few to make some space for some more recent photos, but I'm a bit lost. I have no idea how to select my favourites when I only have 50 slots to choose from. I look at the thumbnails and just scratch my head. I like too many photos... if I'm forced to narrow them down I just have no idea which to choose!
Why do we only have 50 places? Can't we have more, and maybe even some categories to sort them into? To me the idea of "favourites" is a very significant one, more important than the challenges themselves in some ways. It deserves more attention.
I'm thinking of actually putting a page on my website with a full list of my favourites from here eventually, with reasons for them maybe, sorted into categories. It'll take me a while though :) |

I hadn't enought time to explore older photos more extensively but I try to only keep one or two photos of each (technical) category. Say the best macro shot, the best self portrait, best photo with use of negative space and so on. So one day when I want to photograph something similar I can go to my favourites and remember what I liked on such a photo. That's the way how I use the favourites.
It would be nice if I could see my favourite photos directly on the favourite manager page. Sometimes I don't recall the name of a certain photo I look for and then I have to click on each of them to see which it was.

Kindly .... lisae .. I would tend to say that if there is more than 50 ... it's not 'favorites' pictures but pictures you like a lot ....
It becomes more an 'album' of the one you like than your 'favorites'.
Just imagine your 'favorites' has to fit one 'album'.
But that's easy to say to me I hae been here 3 weeks only and did not look to all the challenge.
And at the same time, favorites pictures are some sort of 'achievement' for people. I know I was very happy that somebody choose my childhood as a favorite. with the number of challenges increasing , the chances that pictures 'not in the top 10' of each challenge would picked for that will go down .
Maybe we could have a 'favorites', still with 50 pictures only. And a 'secondary' album with a different name that would an other 50 sets.

| lionel, there are currently over 3000 photos on this site from 28 challenges! To select your 50 favourites that means you can't even choose 2 from each challenge, and over time it'll be even more difficult than that! There are always far more than 2 photos per challenge that I really like. |

I've increased the number dramatically. It's a limit that needs to grow with the site... :)

In my opinion
"Favorite" means the BEST in your opinion. Therefor, there should only be one slot, and when you choose a new one, the old gets booted out.
