I just wanted to vent and maybe even give someone the courage to open up to someone that means a lot to them.

This morning; with tons of joy in my heart, I posted a thread celebrating the birth of my two friends first baby: //www.sabphotography.com\babyk

This evening I post again but with the deepest sorrow of losing a different friend this afternoon. Myra had been a friend and mother figure to me for about 8 years. She was a single mom of two wonderful girls, and worked very hard to make sure they had opportunities and a life she didn't have. One daughter now in college on a partial scholarship and the other heading that way is living proof that she succeeded in raising them right.

Myra helped me personally many times and is probably the reason I didn't get canned or in deep trouble at my job more than once. She was always a friend you could depend on to advise or just listen. But I failed her, I was busy being the unemotinal man I thought men were supposed to be and never personally told her how much she ment to me. I did however write her a note on the back of my first barn picture I took and framed it for her. My thought was that many years down the road she would some how find it and know how I felt.

Well now she is gone and I don't know if she ever knew how she helped and affected me.

It is in Myra's honor that tonight I went out to shoot her a barn picture (she loved old barns and sunrises) and was blessed by God to have a sunset accompany it.

Please don't miss your opportunity to tell someone how much they mean to you or maybe just touched you in some way. I saw it first hand here today with everyone coming together to get a fellow DPCer a camera...you guys rock and while my pictures my not warrant being with yours, I am proud to be in the presence of you.

It's awful to lose the ones we love. I hope you and Myra's family get through this tough time together. God bless.
