How can I get an administrator's note on my billboard entry?

Same here, I want one too. Wait, is an administrators note where you show them the original and edited and they say its been verified?

I think that's what it's called. That is what I am asking for though, a pre-validation.

I don't think it's possible to submit that until the challenge closes. Once the voting starts, if you click on your own photo on the voting thumbs page, you'll see the link to request an Administrative Note or whatever it's called.

Be sure to put down the specific reasons you think the photo needs a note, and list all your editing steps -- it should be exactly like responding to a DQ request, only you initiate it yourself.

Why not just submit the original if asked? And save yourself and the admin a bunch of trouble. Think about what would happen if they did that and 400 people wanted the note...it would never happen.

All entries are assumed to be legal unless question arises.

yeah, the only thing is, the first wave of voters might vote me down because theyll think what i did was illegal.

That's why people better list a pretty good reason they think that note is necessary.

We don't put them on every photo just because someone asks for it -- the rule isn't quite as you cite, in that all photos should be voted as legal, period -- but it seems quite a few people still see the validation note as a site "seal of approval" for that picture.

Actually, I was trying to save the SC some time. There will be many of our site police requesting mine be DQ'd. Oh well, no biggie.

If I feel like a photograph is outside the rules I will vote as if it complies with the rules then ask for validation. Some users here have excellent talent when it comes to processing and keeping it within the rules. So I ask that everyone vote as if the photograph is legal until told otherwise. "Innocent until proven guilty, I say!"

It's an interesting thing, though. Regardless of what the voting guidelines say, people seem to vote lower on images they think may be playing fast and loose with the rules. There were over 200 votes in on my 70's before it was validated, and I think it suffered badly for it... I'd loev to have had it cleared beforehand.

Robt.

You were right on Bear. I knew my enrty would suffer. It did.
Someone asked for it to be DQ'd in the first couple hours of voting.

Before it was validated: 141 votes and 5.199 average.
After the validation: 69 more votes at a 6.509 average.

Oh Well. Would have been nice to have the validation before the voting started. Look at all those 1s, 2s & 3s.
