Being a tech/geek/engineer type the proceedure dosn't worry me, but the lack of jig and test gear to re-align the lens afterwards would be a real worry!
I used to do the maintenance on my old OM camera gear and have fixed a couple on the past for other people, but not the lenses, as testing them afterwards requires some specialist gear...
