Light On White

This should be an interesting challenge, and hopefully we'll see a whole range of interpretations of the challenge description.

Who out there can define 'Light', and maybe help solidify everyone's understanding of what will be an acceptable submission.

I think I'll have to get the more grown-up camera out of hiding for this one ;-) Can't see the fully automatic gorgeousness coping with the necessary lighting conditions.

Thanks for the input mate..

Im just hoping to find out what will be acceptable as 'light', eg: bright yellow, greyscale?

I'll have to go with the Not Dark interpretation. Anything else is too narrow.

This came to mind when I read the description.

I'm sure there will be plenty of good ideas.

I wonder how strict the "white background" will be enforced by voters... Suppose I take a photo against an overcast sky without completely obliterating its texture (some darker clouds, etc). Will it be acceptable, or it will be punished by many?

Technically speaking, I can always make some parts of the sky completely white, and the rest will constitute a part of the "light subject", right?

I interpret this is as anything that isn't a silhouette against a white background.

Not opaque...not giving the impression of heaviness.
