These are some recent photos from my photo-a-day project. The first is a simple motion abstract that I'm sure won't appeal to many, the second is a shot of the flowers I got for Valentine's Day, and the third is a snap of one of our kittens playing outside. Comments/critiques would be appreciated. |

I like the shot of the cat also. Can you maybe leave the color in the eyes?

I would not. It is lovely as it is, looks very natural, and the selective desaturation will make a "digital art" instead of a great photo.
I like your motion blur as well, great colors and balance. Flowers - good solid work, but i am not so much a "flower" person. |

i would have to say that the photo with the flower in it is the best in my opinion... the others just arent that eye-catching |

Motion Abstract - love it. I particularly like abstract photography so this appeals to me. Lovely colours and a strong sense of the flowers.
Valentines Flowers - The weakest of the three by far for me. There is clear evidence of sharpening around the left side of the red flower. Sharpening or poor quality image size reduction has also made your flowers edges blocky. Finally the colours seem too blue. Especially in the almost black areas of the image I see a hint of blue. Perhaps a white balance issue.
Kitten - Great photo. Really like this one but not so sure about putting him so dead-centre like that. Love the B&W, though and nice contrast. Here's hoping he finds a good home.

Mocabela, my eye immediately went to "Dream in Colour." It wasn't until I saved it and messed with editing the picture in PS8, that I realized what was missing for me. I needed to "feel" a little more shimmering, softness.
Hopefully, doing it this way is acceptable.
What worked for me was Neon Edges (Detail=70 and Opacity=6.) I then took that version and used Colored Edges (Lum=58, Blur=13, Intensity=11.) I'll keep both versions for a couple of days if you want me to send them to you.
