Theodor,
Your haloing is killing these shots for me. They are moving into the caricature range, even. "Compexity" could be very nice if you just kept the BG image in the BG, didn't blend it onto his face.
Robt.

The third shots is simply stunning - texture, tonality, lighting, you name it. The colors in the first shot seems to be a little washed out, but still a great portrait. The second one is quite a bit overdone to my taste. The face is remarkable enough , so there is no need to grow anything extra on it.

Absolutely love the third shot. Not so much on the others, agree with bear_music to some degree. But the third I really really like :)

let me ask the un-askable theo. Is he a hard man? Sorry i dont want to cross any lines here but he looks like he would be a tough father. To look at him reminds me alot of my dad and my dad was not the nicest man. Not that i am saying that your dad isnt nice, dont get me wrong. I was just curious what sort of man he is.
Sorry for any upset this may of caused.

I like the third shot too and yes the halo effect doesn't do it for me either. There looks like a thousand stories can be told from his face so expressionable !

He reminds me of an actor, but I can't place the actor's name or the moveis he was in.

The treatment looks alot like the the Grundge, Midnight Sepia, or Draginizer PS actions. Ya using one of those. Great look to them anyway..

I think you may be thinking of Anthony Quinn... at least that's who he reminds me of. I had to wrack my brain to come up with the name, LOL.

That's him, Anthony Quinn. My husband and I had a huge disagreement over this actor in this film. he was certain it was Spencer Tracey and lost the bet !

That 4th pic is amazing! It reminds me of a painting by a renaissance master... Absolutely stunning! I adore portraits that are full of character.

I wasn't meaning to insult you or your father with the comparison with Brother Theodore. It is just a similarity that came to mind when I saw the portrait of your father. Brother Theodore was a great actor who played in a lot of movies. Not quite as well known as Anthony Quinn, however, but a great actor all the same.
