What mods did you do on the photo? I would saturate it a bit more, and it looks a little over sharpened. Can you tell me what settings you used to take the shot?

I think a lower POV from the same position would of been great. It would of made the log [subject] bigger and stand out at the same time we would be able to see more of the sky.

I just love that wood! If I could have it just the way I wanted it, I would like to try the log off to one side just a bit more, and the water less muddy. Now, I am a big advocate of letting photogrpahy be photography, but for this water, if editing could make it a little more appealing, I think it would make a huge difference.

Compositionally, I would probably not include the forest and the sky (rather bland anyhow) in the picutre, just the deadwood and water lilies in the back. It probably would make for a more dynamic shot.
Also I'd try to shoot from a lower POV, then the brownish water in the foreground and some other stuff underwater would be less visible.

Just my 2c...

That is a good idea. I could always go back and take it again. I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere for a while.. Thanks...

Does anyone think this would be better if it was B&W?
