What's everyones opinion on the Three challenge to date ? I've now hit 30% on random voting and have scored only one as a standout. The rest, well....Don't get me wrong but I know we are all here to learn and one has to start somewhere, but in all honesty, my 6 year old could take better pictures than some of these !
I'm thinking I haven't come to the good ones yet :-) |

| well, I'm a bit pedantic and I took the challenge, anything related to 3, as meaning something that always has a relation to 3, such as a triangle or a tricycle (after all, you can't have a triangle with four sides). Therefore, I marked down pictures of three objects because those objects are just a small subset of an unlimited set. |

That explains my score then.... :-) That and the fact that some folks think I have more than 3 "objects" in my shot, according to all my comments anyways. To which I will reply to after the challenge to point out their misunderstandings... To which it will do no good for my score ... to which I don't really care about now anyways.
Or maybe I won't... doesn't really matter anyways. Onto Pink!!!! :-P

I highly doubt that. That's a bit thick-headed anyway...rude and completely uncalled for. If you don't like an entry, vote it a 1, 2, 3 or whatever, and leave a comment. I'm not getting defensive, believe me -- I just think it's uncalled for.

| It doesn't matter to me when I voted how submission entries perceived "three", I just found the "wow" factor lacking that's all. Just an observation :-) |

I managed to vote 16: 10's, 16: 9's and 18: 8's
Is there another 3 challenge going on that I didn't see?

I'm with David, that's a bit rude. If you don't like an entry, vote accordingly.
I entered late 'cos I couldn't really think of anything and I was really busy (wife having baby). I'm not happy with it, I could have done better, but I was trying something new and was pushed for time.
It sure does lack the WOW factor but this site is about encouraging others not equating their skills with children. If everyone who came here was savaged by more experienced photographers for their crappy, 'childish' photos they'd all bugger off and this wouldn't be much of a community would it.
Just out of interest, how is your entry for 'Three' doing, or didn't you enter?

That's a pretty narrow interpretation of a challenge that uses the word ANYTHING in it's description. But that's just MHO.

Totally agree. To vote down a challenge-valid image based on your internal definition of what the challenge was instead of the given parameters is as irresponsible as telling people to vote for Sadam Husein just because he isn't Bush.
