I love this shot! I do love the greens and the whole magic of it. The light
on the edge of the face seems a bit harsh, when softer light might be more
appropriate? I like the lighting from the angle you have it coming from.
Very charming!
Thanks for sharing,
David

Wow! Nice capture of an elusive sylvan creature. Beautiful light, focus and DOF. So how come when I shoot in the woods all I ever run into is skunks? 8P |

I wasn't exactly in the woods... This was taken in the Animal Kingdom at Disney World :)

Nice shot John. You were able to retain the details in the shadows yet correctly expose for the backlighting. Tricky lighting situation, but you pulled it off quite well. Did you use spot metering with the Sony?

No.. she was moving so I didn't have time to do much setup.. I just opened up my aperture all the way and made two shots and this was one of them...

I assumed this was a set-up shot. You both did very well under the circumstances. |

Oh John dont be silly ... your shot is awesome too! :)
That sure was a fun day!
Actually this shot was of a character performer at the Disney's Animal Kingdom ... she was walking around the theme park doing her own thing and posing for photographs throughout the theme park.
