Does anyone know of anyway to "push" digital images in Photoshop or other software? In traditional photography I often "pushed" the film speed during night photography.

By Pushing I mean setting the film speed on my camera to twice the speed of the film actually loaded. I would then compensate by developing the negative twice as long as usual.

I got a lot of good effects with this and it made shooting at night wonderful. Is this possible in photoshop? Or with a plugin? Any tips would be appreciated.

Don't know if you want to try it but there is a digital E-book that has a series of actions for PS that allow "pushing" of the shots. Try this site Digitalsecrets. While the books are aimed at the Nikon and Sony users many of the actions in the iNova software that comes with the books are compatible with any shot brought into PS. I have the Sony version and it is awesome. You might also do a Web search on Peter iNova to see what else he may have available. Hope this helps.
