Mine is about 5.0
Could have been a better shot, but there was no way for me to go back and take it again :)

Started at 6.0 then to 5.0 slowly climbing back up. I'm a little disapointed with that score.

No doubt. I started off with a 6.1, so I should have known...Waking up to a 5.5 and reading the comment really was like a knife in my heart. Do you people ACTIVELY look to find something wrong, because the comment I got was just rediculous and infuriating.

Take out the sharpness in one photo, and it's not sharp enough in the next, and vice versa.

Ouch, after 4 straight 6's I'm welcomed back on earth. But I truely enjoy DPC and will continue to submit in every competition... even if it means an up-down score, a grin or frown of pain... Every time I participate I learn more about what I can do or can't do..yet. |

Same here, though my really best photo was a flower, which I thought "oh yeah, just what everyone wants to see- another flower" so I chose a personal fav.
With Architecture I didn't expect to do well. The weather here has been dreadful and as someone mentioned -used a small window of opportunity. Usually will take 100+ shots for a challenge, but took maybe 10. It was sooooo friggen cold out I lasted about 5 minutes. I thought my hands were going to fall off - so I'm surprised to be getting above 5 and doing better than Best of. |

Mine dropped a full point overnight. Yippie. Too bad, it was fun seeing something over 6 for a change.

Since about 7pm CST last night, my score has dropped steadily from 6.39 to 6.09.

I'm doing better in Architecture than in Movie titles (4.3, ugh) but not as well as in BO'04 (6.3 YES)

Mine has also dropped :( was at a 6.1! now its at a 5.8 and i haven't recieved any more comments

What do you consider a passing score?
and what i mean by passing is like below this the picture is terrible but above this the picture is ok, but could be better?
Also how many pictures do you usally take before sending a picture in to a challenge?

5 score is just OK not great not bad.

| Jimmi, I looked at your portfolio an saw that this is your first challenge. I consider a passing score meeting my average. There are a full spectrum of skill levels on this site. You'll have to determine this number for yourself. The fun here is trying new subjects or techniques and learning from some very creative people. It's a great site and you will receive some very candid comments. If you or your photo are chosen as a favorite it's just as rewarding as scoring high. Welcome and enjoy. |

mine did the same thing... first vote was an 8, and then it slowly plummetted to 6.67, 6.5, 6, 5.5.... now it's stable around 5.51.
I was happy with the 8 :P |
