I have been wanting to create something that was about poker and I finally came up with an idea this afternoon.

I like the idea, but the way the cards are tilted gives the optical illusion that the images are skewed. It bothers me when looking at it. Perhaps also try a more oblique angle when shooting the cards to see what that looks like...something that only shows some of each card, with a shallow DOF.

I noticed the optical illusion as well. It does kind of bother me but overall I really like the image and your work. Very nice.

Ditto on the optical illusion.
Oddly, what bothers me most is that, to me, the cards are in reverse order. I'm right handed, hold my cards in my left hand to play from, and always arrange high cards to the left--but that may be because I mostly play trump games like pinnochle. (sp?)
