One thing I can say for sure about starting a new Photo-a-Day project is that I am finding the time to shoot things I have always said I would but never got around to doing so. These are some things I've picked up in the past few days, and each one was really special or appealing to me on many levels for various reasons. You're welcome to check the entries in my PaD (link below) if you care to...it's become a very important piece of my sanity and a creative outlet in more ways than one. Anyway, comment and critiques are always welcome. I'm really having a great time doing this project. I hope you are too! :o)

Nice photos Laurie... I like the path but my favorite is the leaves..nice effect
I have also embarked on a photo a day project. I agree it makes you look everyday for a shot, a setup, a challenge. Hope I can keep it up
Good luck with yours

Hey Laurie, Long time no flirt. Howd'ya get the soft focus effect? In camera or post processing? The train wheel picture is the bomb. I'll leave a comment on it as soon as I can quit hitting update on the stupid 2004 challenge...

Laurie, You always have wonderful shots... The train stands out to me also.
I always enjoy looking and reading your PAD, even though I do not always comment.
You take great photos. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback folks!
I have been doing a little bit more post processing than I am used to in this new year, simply because I want to do something new and different for me. I've also taken a lot more pictures on the spur of the moment, which I think is a great exercise for everyone. :o)

TC...that one was processed with the virtual photographer PS plug in. I used the Soft Steel filter, but changed the color setting from cold to aged. It gave it the soft look I wanted. Thanks for making it a fave!
