Poor choice of words for the title considering who I was shooting tonight. I got to do a wicked concert with Killswitch Engage and Slipknot..the latter being one of the biggest heavy metal groups in the world.
I've got tons of pictures, I rented a 70-200L F2.8 and I think I found my first child...I love it. I can't post them..if someone wants to volunteer to post, I can email some to you.
Thanks!
L
P.S. Dreams do come true....I actually got groped and hugged by Slipknot on stage. I've never had 10,000 people jealous of me. lol. |

Jealous of me getting to TOUCH Slipknot :-) Not of ME persay. hahaha
P.S> I sent Sparkly some shots to post. There's not many (or any???) front-on shots since there were just way too many security guards...and the crowd kept breaking out into riots so I got pushed back by the guards all the time. It was really hard to get infront of the singer..the few times I did I ended up getting pushed and the shots are all blurry.

Yea it'd be pretty sweet. At first, I picked it up and immediately thought "waaayyyy too heavy" but I didn't notice it once I started shooting.
Thanks for posting a link Sparkly, those shots are all unedited for the most part so they're a bit weak (also they came from an email so ya know, poor quality). Or maybe I'm just making excuses. lol |

Haha yeah, they're known for their scary-ass costumes. The one guy that kept grabbing me was covered in blood .. .I was afraid it was going to drip into my rented lens.
I didn't wear ear plugs and the other photographer thought I was crazy. I thought about bringing some, but I'm a huge music fan and would've paid to be upfront (sans earplugs) anyway. Plus, I was sort of squeezed behind the stacks so my ears only rang for about 5 minutes when I went to bed. |
