It was a nasty day out here in the sticks. I needed to get a few shots for my photo a day collection. My first real experience trying to shoot in the fog. The fog gives such a dark feel to pictures...very cool!

I'm actually down in KY right now visiting my mother who moved there recently from sunny Sarasota, FL. Was supposed to visit some bourbon distilleries in my last couple days here but got rained out. Sigh.
Did go to Shaker Village though, so when I get back home I'll try to post a pic or two if any of them came out.
Nice shots by the way. |

You must be out in east ky huh? I am way west....no bourban distilleries around, I don't think? I do appreciate the comments, and I sure wish I was in sunny, warm Florida! I'd rather be shooting an ocean than a lake anyday! Good luck to you!

I love fog shots. The difference between fog and no fog is often astounding. These were taken just a few hours apart.

Your shots definitely have the mood part down pat, good work. Where were those taken? Lighthouses can't be all that common in KY. Land between the Lakes maybe? or Ohio River?

I lived in Cinci for about 7-8 yrs and hung with a lot of KY folks. Also lived in Glasgow for a couple of yrs when very young, pre-school age. A beautiful state.
