i) the photo is pretty bad
or
ii) by most voter accounts, your submission does not meet the challenge requirements.

Anyway, live and learn.

I'm pretty pleased with my result for the Hidden Faces challenge, although I know I am getting bashed by a small minority according to a few of my comments.

Mechanical... yikes. I went to bed with a 5.5 and woke up to a 4.62. It's not out of focus, it does represent something mechanical and non-electronic, it's not a boring angle...I guess it's just not pretty enough. I expected low-to mid-fives. You'd think after 70 challenges or so I'd figure this thing out!

My Hidden Faces entry is faring a little better, still holding on to a 5.90.

If only a little bottle of talent came in that Rebel kit...

As my A70 is almost dead and on the way to have a try to be fixed I have to use my crappy Founder Chinese digicam (1.2M no real manual control only EV and White balance, no zoom - almost I high res webcam)
I must say that I am pretty happy with the results.
At mechanical I was expecting more but that is. Never know how the mobs are voting. Good luck everyone!

Haven't looked through Mechanical yet, but I suspect that Hidden Faces will be a low scoring challenge.
