what is recommended for a good sturdy case for my rebel
As my main object is football(soccer) photography for the local paper
I am looking for something that doubles up as a seat as well
I see a lot of the pros with a Nikon box that they use to sit on
what cam do they come with and how can you get them or are there
any other alternatives except the Jessops cantilever case...

I carry a small shoulder bag with me when I'm shooting sports for the newspaper. I had never really thought about a box case that doubles as a seat though. I also can't imagine sitting down much for sports except for basketball. I have only done one soccer game (except for a little league game) and I suppose I did find myself standing in one spot most of the time for that rather than trying to chase the action :)

Look into Pelican cases - they are well known for hard cases that are also waterproof and I'm sure would be strong enough for sitting. They come in all sizes including one which has an integrated carrycase type handle and wheels.

I was just perusing the Pelican cases yesterday. One that meets that description will set you back about $150~180. The only thing about them is they are quite heavy when they're that large. They offer one with wheels and a handle like carry-on luggage. Too cool!

My wife and I lived in Mongolia for a year and travelled around Asia quite a bit -- I had my trusty old Fuji in a small Pelican, and I did everything to that case except hammer nails and it held up incredibly well.

BucketBoss makes a very good padded cover for a 5 gallon bucket. You can find bucket boss stuff in hardware stores.

I have a Pelican 1550 for work. Anything that comes with a guarantee like: "You break it, we fix it. Forever." has got to be pretty solid.

Basically, the thing is bombproof.
