I was out tonight looking for some fun Xmas decorations to photograph (I missed the speed challenge). I didn't find any great houses but ended up playing around with changing the zoom during the exposures. Here are two samples. This was inspired by an image I thought was by Konador, but I can't find it now:

Excellent stuff! I love playing around with the zoom like that... here's one I did the other night with our tree. :o)

You know you are not suppose to drink and shoot at the same time!

Just kidding I like them all :)
We are going to drive around this week and shoot Christmas lights :) Not sure if I will get this creative though.
