the idea is ta get something with 5 mpix and rechargable batteries. a good zoom is also prefered. basically memory ain't really a problem cause i'd be upgrading it as soon as i can.

so far i found the canon a95 and the kodak cx7530. some people here already shot down the kodak idea and for some reason the a95 costs about 490 bucks here. (i'm in the philippines btw)

i'm getting really frustrated here.

This is absolutely what you need. OK, so it's 4MP instead of 5, but it has an awesome 10x zoom, the color is outstanding, and it's packed with features. I've had mine for 8 months and it's terrific. I'm still torn about selling it since acquiring a Rebel because it's so easy to use and takes such good pictures. $310.00, free shipping, it's all good. It only has 8 hours left. Go for it. You will NEVER regret it. I promise! :o)

edit...well, it's free shipping in the US but you can find the cam on eBay with shipping to the Phillipines I am sure. It's worth the look!

I'm personally not crazy about Kodak, but the girl that shoots for the local paper here has that exact camera, and she loves it. Looks like a good buy.
