lol...a color photograph of cold hard metal...big step setz!
Okay...I have an opinion now. I like this but I think I'd like it more if it were cropped down to fewer pieces so I could study the detail of the cut metal without so much distraction. The oil adds a nice touch of color to this. The light reflections and contrasts are incredible. Actually...I'd like to see a just one of this thingies in a frame.

Hmm, what is this? :) It's a nice abstract and the yellow rings and red reflections justify that you didn't convert it to B&W. But somehow the photo is missing a point of interest which could have been achieved by removing one of the cones and thus breaking the pattern.

I dont really know how to critique this one. I like it though. Lots of directions and textures.

Gee John, is it always so bright working there? Eye stain must be a hazard. *grin*.
Super abstract. Call this one Study of Light and Form. |

I can't imagine what those might be used for in such a rough condition. They look form-cut rather than single tooled. The photo is very nice and shows the finish well but there is nothing to relate their size to. I suspect they are small, maybe under 1" dia. I to, wonder what is causing the red tent. Very interesting shot. Well framed. Could we see a finished part? |

LOL! You can tell both of you work with metal. Have either of you ever done any quality control? I worked in shipping for a year and I see a lot of greasy parts that need oil wrapping before they get shipped.
It's a very nice picture John. I think this would be a good photo for a company brochure or website. |

Yay - a colour photo. :) :)
Would it be wrong of me now to say that I preferred that last two B&W ones?
Just kidding. To me all three of these last few photos have been very similar (obviously). I've enjoyed looking at all of them and you've definitely captured the very 'touchable' shapes involved. In a way it supports something Ive said on a couple of previous critiques - that photos sometimes work better as part of a collection than they do on their own.
I *do* like that this is in colour. Consider me shut up on that subject. :-)
