Hi,
I recently purchased a Pentax IST DS. It's my first Digital SLR, and I want to invest in a macro lens.
Since i'm new to the SLR world, Im not sure what to look. Can anyone give some suggestions?

you can try looking at some good resellers, keh.com is a good place to check some stuff out. they have certified used gear.

Here are a couple of resources for researching lenses:
Pentax list at PhotoDo This page has ratings that are the average of actual test results. However it hasn't been updated in the last few years.
photographyreview.com has ratings that are the average of user reviews. Remember these are written by people who have bought the lens so they may be over enthusiastic, but useful noetheless; the more reviews the more reliable the rating.
And DPReview has a forum devoted to Pentax SLR at Pentax SLR Talk Forum
Good Luck with that DS, hope to see some images in the challenges soon.

| I'm marking this too. I'm planning to go into Tokyo next weekend and do some investigation of macro lenses or extension tubes. |
