Something keeps drawing me back to these soft shots from a recent learn to use your lenses session of mine:
I am wondering if they have any appeal to anyone but me. What do you think? |

I like the first where the vermilion sings even in soft mode. |

I like the first one. I think for the focus to be soft, there has to be a nice array of colors of some sort of contrast between the colors (like on the first one). Good saturation helps too -- which the second one is lacking.

I love the first one if I mentally crop off the left most part. It completely works then. The second one is weaker in my opinion also.
