Hello, new member here - new to digital also - been 35mm SLR for more years than I care to mention. ;-) I have searched forums & FAQ (rules also) without success for an answer to the following question. I've just sent a note using the 'Help/Contact Us' link but thought I would post here also.

Using PaintShopPro9 there is a menu tool to adjust
under menu 'Adjust/Brightness & Contrast' choice of 'Highlight, Midtone, Shadow'. I want to know if it is legal to use this tool for challenge submissions (basic & advanced). I want to lighten up an image for submission and this seems to get the job done. Please note this tool works on the entire image without making any selections.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Yes. You should be able to use it for both basic and advanced. It is just another way to do a levels or curves or histogram adjustment.
Welcome and good luck.
