I did some work for someone who was writing a book for the health and fitness industry here in Atlanta, about a year ago. The book did quite well and because of the everchanging landscape of the industry they have decided to turn the book into a quartley magazine. She called me and wants me to shoot for them. The editor wanted to use stock photography but the writer wanted to use "all things Atlanta". Hope this works out, looking forward to it. Thank you guys for all your support and help.

you lucky son of a *****! Can I get a job too? :(
CONGRATS! What kind of photos are you going to be taking?

The photos will most likely be shots of pepole doing healthy things, working out, sports, homeopathic healing, and healty eating. I have taken a few for her before so it should be pretty straight forward for me. If it is anything like last time she comes up with the idea she wants for the shot then trusts me to bring it to print. Might have the first ones as soon as the 15th of this month.

I got the job and did the first shoot today. Things went great. Just so happens that I can use one of them for one of the challenges this week. Will be kinda interesting to see how it scores. :)

Well it is official, I did my first shoot for the magazine on the 27th of last month, just couldn't post anything because I use one fo the pictures for the challenge last week. I had a blast and got paid well for the day. She has asked to use me again and wants me to shoot a bicycle race that is rolling throught town. For you cycling fans out there it is the Tour De Georgia. It is a 6 day race that travels over almost the whole state. She wants me to shoot the last leg of it here in Atlanta. For those interested here is a mock up of the cover, the picture will remain the same but I am sure some of the text will change being as it will not come out until Nov-Dec. //dpchallenge.com/image.php/i/17639
Thanks for you guys support

Congrats Corey, that was one of my fave shots from the Sym challenge :)

Although I did not get to vote on the Sym pictures, I had scanned through the thumbnails, and this one had definitely stood out from the others. Maybe not perfect Symmetry, but a GREAT shot nontheless.

Congratulations for your job.

Best of luck!
