I'm curious as to what software people are using to frame shots, I couldn't find anything about it in the site contents. Do you basically make the frame using square tools in photoshop and then past your photo on top of it? Are there restrictions to the size of the frame, etc?
Sorry if this was already answered and I missed it..

| go to image > canvas size. increase the width and length by the same amount, and you have your border. |

...then paint bucket fill it with a color.

| Also, if you set the background colour to the colour you want then when you use the Canvas size, it'll be set to the background colour, without the need for using the paint bucket. With this you can automate adding multi colour borders (by changing size, swapping foreground and background and changing canvas size again) |
