Post your outtakes from the Rhythm V challenge here. |

I don't think it would have probably performed any better, but since I have no other use but my portfolio for this one, here's the one I originally had and swapped out for the challenge:

Johnathan - I think the outtake would have scored higher as the appeal / expected entry for this challenge favored repeating elements or patterns. Having said that, personally I liked your entry better but the presentation seemed awkward with the downward angle of the silos. I get trying to find a dynamic that adds some tension to an image but for some it may have seemed like an accidental 90 degree rotation.

Hmmm...
I personally like the one you entered.
The large and small aperature throws off the "rhythm" for me in the other one.
I think you chose wisely, young grasshopper. |

. My entry.
. The outtake I thought about entering, but since the challenge was rhythm I decided to use my entry because it had a musical reference for me. |

Gave your entry a 5, would probably have given a 6 to the outtake. The OOF foreground Lydia mentioned does bother me, but as Barry notes the rhythm is much more obvious and, for me, compelling. The tones are interesting, too. |

I liked your entry but felt the perspective is a bit awkward. For the outtake, if it were mine, I would have tried cropping from the bottom and adjusting the sides from there. And I'd love to see it in black and white (at which point I probably would have scored it higher than your entry). |

As I mentioned, I liked a lot your entry. The outtake is more predictable, at least for me |

I would have preferred your entry more contrasty, esp the top left corner, or B&W and/or distorted even more. As they say, it has potential. I would fuss with it more just for the exercise,
The outtake, as Lydia mentioned |
